WHO ACLS IS FOR (AHA ACLS)

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) is designed for healthcare professionals who may respond to adult cardiac emergencies in clinical or prehospital settings, including:

• Nurses (RN/LPN), ER/ICU/Stepdown staff
• Paramedics/EMTs and critical care transport
• Physicians, Residents, NPs/PAs
• Respiratory Therapists
• Anesthesia/sedation teams and perioperative staff
• Rapid Response / Code Team members
• Medical, nursing, paramedic, and respiratory therapy students (when required by program or employer)

If your job or clinical role involves managing cardiac arrest, bradycardia/tachycardia, acute coronary syndromes, stroke, airway management, or leading a resuscitation team, ACLS is typically required.

Successful completion results in a 2-year American Heart Association ACLS Provider eCard.

⚠️ Students must hold a current (unexpired) AHA ACLS Provider certification to enroll in this renewal course. Expired certifications are not eligible for renewal and must register for the full ACLS Provider Initial course.

AHA requires that each student has a current 2025 manual for this course. Do you need to purchase one?
