BLS Provider - Renewal

This American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Provider Renewal course is for healthcare professionals who need to renew their BLS certification.

The course includes instructor-led review, hands-on skills practice, and testing for high-quality CPR, AED use, and team response.

Eligibility: A current, unexpired AHA BLS Provider eCard is required at check-in. If your card is expired, you must register for the full BLS Provider (Initial) course.

AHA Guiselines Require an Updated 2025 BLS Student Manual to be presented in the Classroom.

• HeartCode® BLS Online (Part 1), and
• An in-person BLS Skills Check (Part 2) at PULSE to earn your AHA BLS Provider eCard (valid 2 years).

ACLS Certification Course – 2025 AHA Guidelines

The American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Provider Course at PULSE is designed for healthcare professionals who manage cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiovascular emergencies.

This instructor-led course follows the 2025 AHA ACLS Guidelines and emphasizes high-performance team dynamics, airway management, rhythm recognition, pharmacology, and effective resuscitation systems of care.

• Healthcare providers requiring ACLS certification

Course Format

This is an in-person, instructor-led ACLS course held at our Clarksville, TN training site. Students participate in hands-on skills practice, megacode testing, and scenario-based learning.

Required Precourse Work

All students must complete the official 2025 ACLS Precourse Self-Assessment and Video Prework prior to attending class.

All students must bring 2025 ALCS student manual to class with them. AHA quidelines require this.

Certification

Upon successful completion, students receive a 2-year AHA ACLS Provider eCard.

 

American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS Provider – Renewal Course

 

This course is for currently certified ACLS Providers who need to renew their certification before expiration.

This instructor-led course reviews and reinforces advanced cardiovascular life support skills including:

• High-performance team dynamics
• Recognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest
• Peri-arrest conditions
• Airway management
• Pharmacology
• Systematic approach to cardiopulmonary emergencies

WHO ACLS IS FOR (AHA ACLS)

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) is designed for healthcare professionals who may respond to adult cardiac emergencies in clinical or prehospital settings, including:

• Nurses (RN/LPN), ER/ICU/Stepdown staff
• Paramedics/EMTs and critical care transport
• Physicians, Residents, NPs/PAs
• Respiratory Therapists
• Anesthesia/sedation teams and perioperative staff
• Rapid Response / Code Team members
• Medical, nursing, paramedic, and respiratory therapy students (when required by program or employer)

If your job or clinical role involves managing cardiac arrest, bradycardia/tachycardia, acute coronary syndromes, stroke, airway management, or leading a resuscitation team, ACLS is typically required.

Successful completion results in a 2-year American Heart Association ACLS Provider eCard.

⚠️ Students must hold a current (unexpired) AHA ACLS Provider certification to enroll in this renewal course. Expired certifications are not eligible for renewal and must register for the full ACLS Provider Initial course.


 

This American Heart Association (AHA) HeartCode® ACLS course includes the online portion (HeartCode ACLS) plus an in-person skills check with a PULSE instructor.

HOW IT WORKS:

  1. After registration/payment, you will receive your HeartCode® ACLS online keycode/instructions by email.

  2. Complete the online course and print or screenshot your completion certificate.

  3. Attend the in-person ACLS Skills Check at our training site to finish and earn your AHA ACLS Provider eCard (2-year).

ACLS SKILLS CHECK / SKILLS SESSION ONLY (AHA ACLS Provider)

This course is for students who have already completed the AHA HeartCode® ACLS online portion and need the in-person ACLS skills session/check to complete certification requirements.

IMPORTANT
- This registration is for the in-person ACLS Skills Session ONLY
- AHA HeartCode® ACLS online course is NOT included in this course price
- Students must complete the online portion before attending the skills session

WHO THIS COURSE IS FOR
- Healthcare providers who need ACLS certification and have already completed the online portion
- Providers completing HeartCode® ACLS and needing the hands-on skills check
- Nurses, paramedics, respiratory therapists, physicians, advanced practice providers, and other qualified healthcare professionals (per employer/role requirements)

REQUIREMENTS BEFORE CLASS
Please complete the AHA HeartCode® ACLS online course before your appointment and bring proof of completion:
- Screenshot or printed completion certificate (preferred)

BLS INSTRUCTOR COURSE (AHA) — PULSE

This course is for healthcare professionals who want to become an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Instructor.

IMPORTANT PREREQUISITES
- Must have a current AHA BLS Provider eCard (same discipline)
- Must bring a government-issued photo ID
- Must complete the AHA BLS Instructor Essentials online course before the in-person session
- Must bring proof of completion of the BLS Instructor Essentials course (screenshot or printed certificate)

WHAT HAPPENS AT PULSE
- In-person instructor course session and exam
- Instructor candidate application completed at PULSE
- Paperwork review and training center requirements
- Teaching monitoring/proctoring process (you may observe PULSE instructors for tips)

IMPORTANT
Instructor candidates must complete all required paperwork, monitoring, and training center requirements before an AHA Instructor eCard is issued.

Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED – American Heart Association

This American Heart Association (AHA) Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course is designed for non-healthcare providers who need CPR, AED, and First Aid certification for work, school, or personal preparedness.

This course teaches:

• Adult CPR and AED use
• Child CPR and AED use
• Infant CPR
• First Aid basics (bleeding, shock, choking, medical emergencies)
• Scene safety and emergency response
